MOTOR VEHICLE REPAIRS
MVR Level 1
QUALIFICATION OVERVIEW The CVQ Level 1 in Motor Vehicle Repairs (Cars and Light Trucks) is for individuals whose role in the Automotive sector requires well developed behavioural competencies but whose scope for independent decision making and for bringing about change is limited. They are likely to be in roles where they are required:
● To undertake interactive workplace communication
● To draw and interpret sketches and simple drawings
● To perform routine housekeeping duties
● Disassemble/assemble cylinder head and check tolerances
● Service engines and associated engine components
Normally persons working at Level 1 should be able to competently carry out simple and routine work activities and to collaborate with others through groups and teams. The qualification covers competencies by providing services in Motor Vehicle Repairs (cars and light trucks) Level 1 such as being able to understand and carry out components of engine mechanical system, engine management system, electrical/electronic system, fabrication, steering and suspension systems business service and information technology while working in a safe and hygienic manner.
